I was blown away the first time I heard So Brave. I think any military mom can totally relate to the words and it has a very special meaning to us Blue Star moms. Thank you so much for vocalizing what we have all felt. Every time I hear the song, it brings tears to my eyes. I can’t help but take it personally and think of how very proud I am of my own So Brave son! Thank you Angela! Connie from Milwaukee, WI |

Unknown to us at the time, while ‘SO BRAVE’ was being engineered here in Nashville, Brandon Kintop, was wounded in IRAQ. Brandon, is Jonathan's best friend. He is the "little guy" in verse 2 of the song. |

So Brave.......This song has touched my heart in so many ways. My son is Brandon (the little guy in So Brave). Jon and Brandon have been the best of friends for so many years. And now they are soldiers together. Angie thank you also for writing such a beautiful song about our sons. God Bless. Shelley Kintop Brandon's Mom |

by Ronald Whaley I would like to say, as a Father of a Marine and a Disabled Veteran of the Navy, this is one of the very best songs I have heard honoring our Mothers of the service men and women now serving in Hostial Lands. I would love to thank Angela Lashley in person but I will have to settle for here. Thank You Angela from the Whaley Family with a Marine serving with a Marine Corps Air Wing on the USS Nimitz. You have done more for these moms in this song than they could ever hope for. Keep up the great work. |
